Terms of Service
Effective July 23, 2026 (draft)
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Adonify — the chapter-management platform for Greek chapters and student organizations. By creating an account or using Adonify, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By signing up for Adonify or using the service, you accept these Terms; we record a timestamp of that acceptance. You must be at least 17 years old and able to enter into these Terms to use Adonify. The service is built for college students, chapter officers, and student-organization members. You confirm that the information you provide at signup is accurate and that you’ll keep it up to date. If you don’t agree to these Terms, don’t use the service.
2. Accounts and security
- You sign in with an email address and password. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes by our authentication provider — we never see or store the plain text.
- You may optionally enable two-factor authentication using an authenticator app (TOTP) from Account → Security. We recommend it, especially for organization admins.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at adonifycto@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
- Authentication and other abuse-prone endpoints are rate-limited; attempting to evade those limits is a violation of these Terms.
3. Organizations and admin responsibilities
Adonify is organized around chapters and student orgs (“organizations”). When you join an organization, its admins — typically chapter officers — control its membership, point system, tasks, events, goals, committees, dues records, and settings. Admins can see and manage organization data about you as described in the Privacy Policy, including your point history, attendance, and dues records.
- Admins act for their organization, not for Adonify. Decisions about points awarded, attendance marked, dues owed, membership, and removal are made by your organization’s admins. Adonify provides the record-keeping tools; it does not review, approve, or arbitrate those decisions. Disputes about them are between you and your organization.
- Admins must use the tools lawfully.Organizations and their admins are responsible for using Adonify consistent with their school’s rules, their national organization’s rules, and applicable law — including how they handle other members’ information visible to them.
- If you leave or are removed from an organization, you immediately lose access to its data. Historical records you generated (point entries, attendance, task completions) are retained by the organization so its totals and reports stay truthful.
4. Points and dues are records, not money
- Points have no monetary value. Points, leaderboards, streaks, and milestones exist to track participation. They are not currency, credit, property, or anything redeemable, and we may recalculate or correct them to preserve record integrity.
- Adonify is not a payment processor.Dues balances, logged payments, and payment plans in Adonify are bookkeeping entries made by your organization’s admins. Adonify never collects payment card or bank details and never holds, processes, or transfers money. Any actual payment happens outside the platform, between you and your organization, and your organization remains responsible for its own official financial records.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Adonify to harass, haze, discriminate against, or harm anyone, or to coordinate activity that violates your school’s code of conduct or the law;
- attempt to access another user’s account or another organization’s data, probe or circumvent our security measures or rate limits, or interfere with the service’s operation;
- upload content — including chat messages, attachments, and photos — that is unlawful, infringing, or that you don’t have the right to share (including photos of others where consent is required);
- resell, scrape, or use automated means to extract data from the service, or misrepresent yourself as Adonify.
We may remove content that violates these Terms and may suspend or terminate accounts or organizations that violate them, with or without notice.
6. Your content and license to us
You and your organization own the content you submit — names, notes, records, chat messages, attachments, proof photos, and profile photos. You grant Adonify a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the service (for example, storing chat attachments, generating leaderboards and reports, and sending the notifications you’ve enabled). This license lasts as long as the content is on the service, plus the retention periods described in the Privacy Policy. We don’t sell your content and we don’t use it for advertising.
7. Feedback
If you send us feedback about the product — through the in-app feedback form (including any screenshot you attach) or by email — you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use it to operate and improve Adonify, without obligation or compensation to you. Don’t include confidential information in feedback.
8. Fees
Adonify is currently free to use. There are no paid tiers, and no payment method is collected. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, existing organizations will get clear advance notice and nothing will silently start charging you. See Pricing.
9. Third-party services
Adonify runs on a small set of infrastructure providers: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (transactional email delivery). They process data on our behalf as described in the Privacy Policy and Data Handling Policy. The service depends on these providers, and their availability is outside our direct control.
10. Termination and account deletion
- You can delete your account yourselfat any time from Account → Security (you’ll be asked to type DELETE to confirm). Deletion permanently removes your login credentials and personal profile; historical records you contributed to an organization are retained by that organization in anonymized form, attributed to “Former Member.” The precise rules are in the Privacy Policy.
- Solo organizations are deleted with you. If you are the only remaining member of an organization you administer, that organization and all of its data are deleted along with your account.
- Last-admin rule.If you are the last admin of an organization that still has other members, you must promote another admin before you can delete your account — an organization can’t be left with members but no admin.
- We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms or to protect the service and its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — the content license needed for retained org records, feedback license, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — survive.
11. The service is provided “as is”
Adonify is in active development. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost — keep independent records of anything critical (for example, official financial records).
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Adonify and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past twelve months (currently $0) or $100. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Adonify and its team from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from content you submit, your use of the service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person’s rights. If you are an organization admin, this includes claims arising from how your organization uses the service.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. For material changes we’ll notify you — by email or an in-product notice — before they take effect. Continuing to use Adonify after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. Note: Delaware is a placeholder venue pending review by legal counsel and may change in the final version of these Terms.
